Real Southern chess pie



Recipe from Jerry Marnell, Jackson



·   3 large eggs

·   1 1/2 cups sugar

·   1 stick butter

·   2 T. lemon juice

·   2 T. vinegar

·   1 T. flour

·   1 T. yellow cornmeal

·   1 T. vanilla

Melt butter, and set aside to cool. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs. Add the cooled butter, lemon juice, vinegar, flour and yellow corn meal. Whisk ingredients into a smooth mixture. Pour into a frozen deep dish pie crust, and bake at 300 degrees for 40 minutes.
